Mission

A Proud Tradition

The Women’s Lawyers Association of Jefferson County is an organization designed to provide a forum for women attorneys, to promote the legal profession in Jefferson County and to offer information about the profession and public services to the Community at large.

The organization was founded in 1961 by fifteen women attorneys and has a current membership of approximately 250 attorneys and law students.

Our members represent a spectrum of practices including government positions, corporate employment, private practice in firms of all sizes, and public interest work. We encourage everyone who is interested, including law students, to join us and to keep the Women Lawyers Association a vital organization.
